I have chosen to do a music video since having it done last year, I am confident that I am able to create something of a much higher standard compared to my last year's FMP. Throughout the year I have learned many new skills and gained knowledge of aspects that I did not know would help me so much whilst creating creative work. During the year preparing for the FMP I was able to improve my skillset in the main editing software's such as After Effects and Premiere Pro. I am now able to produce some high-quality standard work with all the secrets I have learned throughout the time. I have gained this knowledge thought a variety of various places such as YouTube tutorials, payed courses or learning through playing with the software myself. Creativity improved massively since last year's FMP I have worked on some projects outside of college working on stuff such as effects throughout bought courses which gave me the skills and the thought process of industry professionals which helped me in my own projects since then I could imagine every scenario and choose the most suiting one. Same goes for idea creation. If i get a little start I can just keep going and going through with the idea of adding new stuff along making it never ending. During my thought process on this year's FMP was exactly the case. I had to make myself stop writing since I ran out of song length. Since last year, I gained more inspiration through the amount of music videos I watched in all genres. Watching behind the scenes really makes you understand what it is that the director is imagining. Understanding professionals' thought process really takes your work to another level since you start to think them and really imagine all the different aspects.  I really want to change things up and create a different type of video. I have learned so many new skills from Cole Bennett which is my biggest inspiration. His music videos have so much thought put into them to suit the certain artist the music video is for. Which is exactly what I am doing, working with the artist's character to make the music video around his song. I am looking into creating a more moody look in the ''gothic' theme to go with the song as well as my ideas. I am planning to have all kinds of camera movement ranging from slow cinematic shots to quick and ‘’shaky’’ shots combined with cuts. All will depend on the type of tempo there is in that certain bit of the song. I know I am capable of doing all styles and types of my ideas. Whatever idea comes to my mind it will be able to be represented in the music video.  My first idea is the most ambitious, but I cannot wait to create this product. A lot of time will go into even planning out the idea but planning is essential and will make sure the idea is reached its highest potential.

RATIONALE

1. Influences / Inspiration

What makes this video interesting from Destroy Lonely is the cinematography. It plays a key role in this music video due to this calm feel it has. Fast paced cuts would just destroy the overall feel that the director was going with. Through out the video there is a narrative acting out through the video which I really like and would love to implement into my own work but that would not work throughout the whole video of mine since I want my artists there at all times. I really want to take this calm cinematography and use it in my skit nearer to the end of my music video. Whilst still making it have this moody and sketchy/scary look to it. There is performance in this video but it is not really direct to the camera there is more of these standing shots rather than performance with them moving their lips to it which really adds this mysterious feel to it and I really like that decision from the director. The main artist is seen through out the video from time to time but isn't the main focus. That would not work in my video since I want the artist to be there at all times but nevertheless it is a really cool concept for a slower type music video. What I really like and will 100% implement in my own music video is the ratio of the video. I really like the square look since the focus is clear. With a wider screen there is so much going on that it just doesn’t always look good with all ideas. I am planning on having this ‘’dirty’ look to the video and with that square resolution I think it would look really good. This look with my whole idea of this ‘devilish’ act in my head already look really good and I cannot wait to work on this project.

How u feel?

Ken Carson - Freestyle 2

download (51).jfif

In Ken Carsons videos such as this one he has some very quick fast paced cuts and effects that suit the theme and the tempo of the video. This is more of the feeling I am going with, but this may be even too fast for my plan and idea. The concept is really cool but since I want to have a bit of a narrative in my video, I will be having to slow it down to be able to tell the story. Ken Carsons video is too chaotic for my liking. This video is another to why I really want to the square ratio in my video it is perfect for these ‘’gothic’ type videos. You can really tell the main focus to the viewers through this without anything coming in the way taking their attention away. I want this ‘’dirty’ look and I think it really would feel combined with this ratio to make it more mysterious and just scary. I was imagining doing 3D effects with my footage to make it stand out with some features that are not common. Having seconds long sequences of 3D scenes, I think would look amazing I'm just not sure if I would want to ruin this feel I am going with. I am not 100% comfortable in doing this for my project and time will tell.

$not has some nicely directed and edited videos. Especially this one. This video is performance based but the effects that happened in this are something else. I would want to try and include a scene similar to the scene here. Creating a 3D scene and placing the person in there would really make it so much better. Being able to control the camera with a 3D cam in the software is so much better for more cinematic shots and much easier to achieve, Flying around a 3D scene you can get a lot of angles that would never be possible. But at the same time this would be hard to do with no prior experience. Nevertheless, the transition from real work into the 3d space is just done so well and seamlessly in this video that was really what gave me the inspiration to try a 3D scene myself, but I think that would be too much work, so I was thinking of doing animated sequences with 3D models. Just quick glances with effects to really add something different to the video. Although the same could be done without the animation and in real life which would actually look really good. I have a good understanding of After Effects overall but 3D is something new to me and I would not try it since I found the alternative of doing it real life.

Rich Amiri - Aint Nothing

images (26).jfif

Rich Amiri overall has very dynamic videos combined with slower sections which really makes the video interesting at one point you are seeing performance shots with effects and another time you are seeing cinematic slower shots showing a story. Which something that I will exactly interpret into my own video. I will be switching between different kinds of shots to have this cool variety. Although Through this video there is a lot more performing rather than storytelling but the cinematography for some of the inside house shots are there and I really like how they look. I will implement that but with a twist of a moodier and darker look making it scary. Again, the ratio of the video is the same as few previous which makes me so much more confident in making my music video look amazing. Imagining this in my head makes me feel like this idea is top tier. Rich Amiri has this ‘’static’ effect throughout the video at moments and I would like to take that and implement it in a unique way which is when the girls Pov is seen this static is shown with the static noise. I would want to play around with the sound of the song itself and enhance it at moments to fit the video and my idea more. Adjustments like that go a long way since they can change a lot by doing little.

2. Ideas

1st idea

My first idea consists of a Performance type Music Video with narrative involved having variety of different locations each giving the similar vibe to the theme of the song. I am planning on having about 6 locations featured through out the music video to give a variety of backgrounds but all in this moody dark theme. I want it all dark with flashing lights through out the music video to create that '''crazy'' feeling. I am planning on constructing a few sets myself  at home so that I am able to control the mood with lighting and such. For my music video I have chosen a more aggressive and quick tempo song which will reflect on the locations and lighting. My techniques will help to show that my music video is in that genre as I will be having quick cuts which will make it match the tempo of the song. Most of the song will be  a performance type but with this satanic feel where no face will be not shown it will be full of masks and face covers so the mystery and creepy feel is there. I will be filming all kinds of shots. It all just depends on the location and where each kind of shot would fit in. The location I am going with are all at night or in a dark environment. I want to shoots scenes at home since that is when I have the most control of what I am planning on doing. I can really show my idea through set design. Being able to place every little detail makes the scene so much better since you can decide what the main focus will be rather than finding a location somewhere and having to go with it as it is. First location will be in the attic. I will want to begin the attic location with lighting up a match and seeing the girl appear in front of him. And him throwing the match up and wanting to do a 3D close up of the match being thrown up. And the scene beginning with a big shake and all flights starting to flash. I feel like this location will fit the ''scary'' theme a lot. I am planning on having this character that is really inspired by the ''The Ring'' girl. I will want her to be included in all the locations. Appearing and disappearing all over the place sometimes popping in front of the camera. I really want to do  sometimes in the video where the camera is set as the girl. The vision of what she sees when looking at the performer and such with hair covering the camera. That theme of the girl will follow with every location and in the end I am planning on doing a either end scene or a part of a performance scene where the location is outside and the girl in a cage trying to escape making the cage shake and stuff whilst the performer is holding the cage so that she doesn't escape. I will need to decide on that. Another location  I am thinking about is a forest scene. In the deep of the forest walking through trees with a lantern whilst the girl appears behind the trees and such whilst performance happens but then I will also want to include a scene within that scene where the music cuts out and all you see is the performers vision whilst he is walking through the forest. His vision being all blurry and such. Hearing him walking on the leaves and branches with deep breathing searching for her. And then he hears something turns around she's not there he turn around again and she is standing right in front of him and that is where it cuts out this scene and returns the sound and cuts to a different location. I would want to include that sequence somewhere in the middle of the song. Another location I will be wanting to do is this dark corridor/room where the light is flashing and performance is happening whilst the girl again appears and disappears and I said that will be the more important theme of the music video. Another location which cant really be called a location more of like this type of shot from down below. I am planning of the person standing in the attic looking through the entry whilst the camera is at the bottom looking up. This location/shot will also include the girl since that is kind of the motive of this music video. Props will be used for most of the locations and shots to enhance the scene I really want to use masks for the performer for all of them since that will add that creepiness and mystery of why is the girl chasing him and why doesn't she like him. Stuff such as lanterns to just make the scene make sense and would also need fake blood for a scene or two. Another important prop will be jewellery I will be wanting a lot of crosses to feature through out the video. That will range from 3D objects of crosses to jewellery and much more. For the sets I will will be creating I am wanting to this dark room/corridor to make it a creepy place with light flashing. Flashing lights will be used in all locations. I will make both of them disappear at movements and sometimes just leaving the girl or the perfumer just all depends on how I am planning on editing it. For my VFX I am planning of doing quite a lot of quick cuts and flashes to make it more dynamic whilst making it scary. I feel like this idea has so much potential with the right execution it will be really good. I will be using After Effects to make my transitions and add a variety of effects such as flashes and 3d transitions and objects. Just making the whole thing more interesting than it already it. I am wanting to really make sure that I don't go over the top with the effects since that will ruin the overall vibe. Only add effects that fit the theme. My colour pallet I want to be all black combined with grey and white. I really don't want no bright colours apart from the fire. That will feature in the forest scene from the lantern or possibly in other scenes to spice it up.

2nd idea

My second idea consists of a Narrative type Music Video with little performance having variety of different locations each giving the similar vibe of a gothic theme. I am planning on having about 5 locations featured through out the music video to give a variety of backgrounds. I am planning on constructing a few sets myself at home so that I am able to control  the mood with lighting and such. For my music video I have chosen a more slow and chill song which will reflect on the locations. My techniques will help to show that my music video is in that genre as I will be having slower cuts with longer clips which will make it match the tempo of the song. Most of the song will be  a narrative/performance type but I will include some b-rolls as well as slow motion footage to have variety. I will want a longer shots from a long distance to really create the space around the performer. To create that moody look. I would wanna do close ups as well as slo-mo shots since the song is more of a slower one it will match the tempo. For my footage I will be using mostly hand held shots to add to that feel of someone following you through out the music video to add to that creepiness. I will also be using gimbles and such to make some of the b-rolls and slow-Mo shots to make them smooth and nicer. Props will be used for most of the locations and shots to enhance the scene. Something not common something that will make the viewer think that's different like an axe in the woods maybe start like chopping wood in the b-roll that would be interesting since its something different not expected. Could also slo-mo these shots making them better. Another location I was imagining a large empty field with a hut in the middle where the performer will be which would make it eerie and out of place. Next location I was imagining was this idea that I had for my last music but this time I would like to execute it to a much higher standard and this time make it look much better than what my attempt earlier was. Much more though will be put into the camera and light placement. This combined with the ''blurry'' vision. Whilst talking about the blurry vision I am thinking of doing first person shots where the blurry vision appears as if that's how the person is seeing the world. Another location I was thinking was A black out room with a light of some sort. Lighting the room but flickering. Another cool scene that I thought of was walking through a forest holding a lantern maybe making it light up with fire whilst in post production. I was thinking of putting fire on the head of the  I will be using After Effects to make my transitions and add a variety of effects such as flashes , clones and such to my footage to make it more entertaining and more pleasant to watch. I really want to put some clones in the music video to make it extra eerie. I feel like it would be a nice addition. Especially I would like to do this effect when there is a high shot with a lot of free space around and filling that up with clones will make it look extra good. I also really want a 3D environment scene where I can place the performer in and with the use of 3D camera really create something amazing. Something that is not seen often.

3rd idea

My third idea consists of a narrative type Music Video having variety of different locations each giving the similar vibe. I am planning on having 3 locations featured through out the music video to give a variety of backgrounds. For my music video I have chosen a more slow tempo song which will reflect on the locations. My techniques will help to show that my music video is in that genre as I will be having slow cuts which will make it match the tempo of the song. Most of the song will be a narrative type but I will include some b-rolls as well as slow motion footage to have variety. I planned that I will be filming 4 types of footages at each location that will include the normal paced narrative type and this will be done twice as I will have a wide shot and a more closer shot so that I am able to cut between them. I will also be filming a slow-Mo footage which will be placed in the video to add variety to the footage. The same plan will be done for all of my locations as I want to have a variety of footage to choose from. For my footage I will be using mostly tripod shots to create that calm scary feel. I will also be using gimbles and such to make some of the b-rolls and slow-Mo shots to make them smooth and nicer to look at rather than having shaky footage. Props will be used for most of the locations and shots to enhance the scene. Such as for the graveyard scene to have a bouget of flowers to really fit into the location. The location I am planning on having are a graveyard , church and a forest. Since it being a narrative video I am planning on having the girl visit each scene travelling from one to another on a motor bike. The location that will be visited are in this order. Going to the graveyard first with the flowers following onto the church and later on in the forest behind the church to add something more creepy to the video. I will film a large variety of footage varying from high angles to low angles. What I had planned for my music video was a set colour pallet which consisted of mostly black with the features grey and white Overall I think I have a large understanding of my idea and what I want to have as my final project.

My main idea which is the 1st is really hard to say what influenced me. Since I have never seen a music video with this type concept where there is a crossover from the film industry. Which plays a narrative role in the video. I am planning on doing a crossover from the movie ''The Ring''. Where the main character from that film Samara Morgan will take part in the music video being one of the main people appearing in every scene. I will also want to feature a scene where the music cuts out and a little movie scene plays with the main two characters. The whole plot of the music video is that she wants to kill the guy performing. Influences to other stuff such as cinematography was from Destroy Lonely , Effects and transitions from Ken Carson and Style overall with combination between them two artists.

3. Target Audience

My target audience consists of fans from artists such as Playboi Carti, Ken Carson, Destroy lonely , Rich Amiri and Yeat which are  major figures in hip-hop and trap music, who appeal to a diverse audience and generations. Known for their catchy beats ,and bold fashion sense, These artists draws in a younger crowd, mainly teens and young adults. Their music resonates with those who enjoy innovative sounds and the mumble rap sub-genre. These artists have carefree personalities, along with their ties to high fashion and streetwear, connecting with individuals interested in cultural trends beyond music. People inspired by their Clothing style  will be able to relate with the music video since the main character will be dressed in exactly that. Fans of these creates especially will be in love and the target audience for this music video. The song that I am deciding to do it is Ken Carson's. Fans of gothic features will also love this video due to the whole appeal of the music video. Fans of horror movies and scary stuff will also be able to watch and find the video entertaining since I am wanting to have this horror/scary feel to the whole video if possibly jump scares. Fans of horror movies will also appreciate the classic of horror films which the character of will be included in my music video with narrative. Target audience has chosen itself. Beetween the age range of 18-21.

In my questionnaire I have a variety of people to answer questions referring to my music video the whole idea I I have in creating this music video and the design ideas. Such as type and style. First question on my questionnaire is ''What type of music video do you prefer''? Me personally for the idea that I have I really want to do a Performance music video with a narrative following through the whole thing. The option on the questionnaire was also chosen the most amount of time with with 41.7% of the votes. I'm really happy that people have chosen that option since that means the larger group of people will enjoy my project. Next question consisted of '' Would a devilish type music video interest you''? For which 66.7% of the votes went towards. I am planning on doing this scary type video with a collaboration with a horror movie character which will basically haunt the character everywhere appear and disappear through out the video. Leading to killing the main character in the end. I think this ending will be very interesting and something not common. My next question was about the style of the video such as which look would look better in this devilish type music video. More people have chosen option 1 which is really what got me interested in this look. This video really nicely represented what kind view I am having on this music video. This dark moody devilish music video. This option had 58.3% of the votes where as the other one which was more of a angelic look lost with 41.7% of the votes. Next question on my questionnaire consisted of a question about directors. specifically '''Out of these directors who do you recognise the most''. The answer with the most votes was in fact Cole Bennett. He has been my inspiration since last years FMP and I have followed his work since then watching every BTS of music videos and all finished products. He is really my inspiration in creating music videos. Last few questions on my questionnaire consisted of asking about a variety of artists who's videos are in the same type of looks. Inspiration for my video was gained from the artists listed in the questionnaire but I feel like it would be a waste of space adding all the screenshots of yes or no answers. I just added two main ones that the most inspiration is from. Ken Carson as well as Destroy Lonely really put out music videos that as if they combined their music videos my would be the outcome since that is what I'm basically doing. Combining the factors from both and adding some Cole Bennett spice to them and ending with my own finished product.

4. Action Research

Soft Skills

Hard Skills

Some soft skills I really want to improve on during this project are Motivation. So far I have been on and off but working on getting that full commitment to the project back. I need to have more Adaptability in my mindset. When something isn't something that I am comfortable with no matter what trying new stuff is important. For example when filming I want that full commitment to the project. This leads me to another soft skills which is Repeat if done wrong. If something doesn't go my well I wont just forget it I will repeat it until done correctly. With every idea I will be trying to enhance it to something more and crazy.

Some hard skills I really want to improve on during this project are After Effects. I really want to use a lot of After Effects. I feel like when I can and I think that it will improve my work visually I definitely will try something new to bring the project to another level. Another thing that will bring my project to a higher level will be using more camera techniques. Which is another hard skills I want to improve on. I don't want to have the same type of shots and camera placement I want something different and something new.

I really want to test the idea of having a little movie skit in the music video so for my action research I will be wanting to have a test of how it would look with a go pro with a mount on my head for the test. I feel like seeing both hands in these shots will make it more realistic and less scripted. Since not having done a skit or used this equipment. For my action research I will be doing just that. Testing my skills in these sectors. I want to have this scene in there to have experience feel more like you are there experiencing this. Foley sounds such as Breathing , Stepping and such will be done separately to make these sounds enhanced. Whilst in doing this skit I for my actual music video I will need more than one person but since this is just a test pov of the person will be just enough to get the idea of what it would look like. Having this view will help me understand what kind of placement I will be having to do in order to make the scene work. The GoPro might me used in more occasions throughout the video since I am also planning on doing pov shots from the second main character. Since this video I want to be devilish the included fact of the second main character being from a movie makes it more interesting. I am planning on doing shots from the other pov as of how she was seeing the character performing and such. My idea in addition to having theses shots is that to when they play and we see her vision the sounds and vision like glitches and goes blurry and such and this static noise plays every time her pov is shows since she is ''demonic'' I think it will really enhance the scenes another addition to this show I was thinking was to have her throw her hair over the camera to have this look as samara from ''The Ring'' really making it iconic. I am also planning on using the go pro for the end scene. Where the girl actually kills the main character at the end of the music video. Which will really make it ''demonic''. For this end scene I was thinking of really making it crazy with adding blood as well as Foley sounds in post production to make it realistic and more entertaining. When ever I think a Go Pro shot would look better I will try it and see how it goes and if I like it.

My Try In Doing The POV Shot

In this short sequence I went over the basic looks that I will be going for in my music video. I want this dark moody look which is shown in this sequence. I have created this moody look by color grading as well as the Vignette effect. Which makes it more dark and mysterious. In this video I checked POV shots for a skit I am planning on having near the end of the music video. The location I chose is the woods since in the actual music video that will also be the location. I have chosen to try these shots for my action research since I have never used a GoPro and this was a chance to do so. I am wanting to use a head band with the GoPro to get this realistic and less scripted look. I also want this first person look to make it more scary as if the viewer is experiencing it as it is happening. I have these in between shots with the static noise and look which will be used when ''Samara'' looks at the main character. I want this devilish look to it I am planning on having her pop up out of nowhere and disappear and appear in placed but I weren't able to do that with that footage. Another thing done in this short sequence is that the grunge overlay. I think it adds a lot to the footage and makes it more into the theme that I am going with.

2nd Action Research - Clone Effect

This clone effect I will interpret it into the music video not in style since it would be too much work to get the style location lights and costumes where I'm only testing the effect. It will obviously be different colors and style. For this effect All I did was record one long clip without moving the camera at all. Having the character do action in one spot then moving around and standing still. Cutting these clips and placing one over another. Later doing each clip individually and masking out the person. So that they all seem like they are at the same place at the same time. Making it a clone effect. Since It was kind of bland I just thought of adding this night vision CCTV camera effect to make it more interesting. In my actual Music Video I am planning on doing this in a much more ''devilish'' way where as in this action research is was kind of done as in a Rap music video which is something completely opposite to my idea.

5. Primary / Secondary data & theory

For my main research I am planning on doing two things for sure which are a table talking about videos on YouTube that will help me create my own music video in bigger detail since the more knowledge I have the easier it will be on set when filming with the idea in your mind. Videos in this table will range from Behind The Scenes from a channel called Lyrical Lemonade to music video effects and transitions to short films made by artists which reflect the feeling I am going to go with. In the table I will talk about what the video contains and what I as the viewer will get from this video. What skill or new piece of advice will I gain. Lastly the last column will include a question ''What from the video will I use?'' There I will talk about a specific things from the video such as a effect or a shot angle as well even the atmosphere on set. I am planning on doing more such as questionnaires. To really gain more knowledge about the music video and the fans and the idea itself. To see what I can gain from it and see what could help me with the whole project.

6. Project Workflow

Ideas - Inspiration - Feedback - Choosing Final Idea - Research - Storyboarding - Finalizing Idea - Locations - Set Design - Props - Shot list - Equipment checklist - Test shoot - Test Edit - Prepare for real shoot - Re shoot - Edit - Colour Grading

Every project begins with creating ideas. Taking inspiration from already existing products and receiving feedback on those ideas from people around and deciding on your final idea for the project which will be realized. After an idea is chosen the research begins which will help you gain knowledge on the idea and build a strong structure when the time of creating comes. Storyboarding is a important step as it helps you visualize the whole idea and help you understand it. Finalizing the idea will feature stuff like choosing locations meaning the need of going out scouting with the set design with other members of crew. After locations are chosen the cinematographers take their way there with the artist to think of the shot list which will be finalized there as having the ability to check how shots will look on the actual location is better than thinking of a shot list and it not work out when you get there. After the location as well as the shot list is finished stuff like props can be introduced to enhance the scene. When everything is finished and finalized a check list of equipment will be needed to make sure the shots that were created have the ability of being created, Whilst everything is set it is time for creating a rough shoot to test the location and shots created prior. When everything is finished and filmed the editors create a rough edit of the footage to test and make sure everything is as planned. When everything is set and the rough test looks like how everyone wants it to look like the real shoot begins. When the shoot is finished the editors take it into their own hands and edit the footage and finish the edit. Colour grading is introduced either before the editing process begins or after depending of people preferences some may want to see how the footage will look before its been edited,

Audience

My audience will consist of Fans from the OPIUM genre. Whos favourite artists are people such as Ken Carson and Carti. People who wear all black and baggy. People from the ages 18-25. My music video will be something very similar to work from artists such as Ken Carson so I will fit the audience perfectly. Same will go for the costumes in my music video which will feature and will fit in very well with the audience of these artists. Main target audience will be from Europe but I expect there to be a lot from the United States. Their fanbase is huge so it will not be so hard to fit in. The whole video will be in this gothic dark theme with horror aspects and a lot of flashes which is something that is accepted in the community and something that does well. Making the fanbase like it will be easy since I am also using a song from Ken Carson which just makes even more sense to why it will fit in the community.

The inspiration I will be taking is from the Opium Scene from few of the most listened artists. I really like the type of their songs and the tempo they all relate to. The artists that have not only a similar type of Music but also the music videos that are a follow up to the song. These artists are as listed Ken Carson, Yeat, Carti, Lonely and the list just carries on. These being just a few of the artists who are at the Peak of their careers. Their videos fall into two categories which are either build sets specially for the music video that relate to the music and help create the atmosphere this will fall into the category of artists such as Lonely and Ken Carson. The first group of people work with VFX effects which I will be also using for my project to create the atmosphere but not to the extent that some of these artists use. Their sets are created to help show the atmosphere and the feeling that the viewer should be feeling, The second type which is filmed without a bigger thought to the music video as to the aspect of conveying a narrative to them. These type of music videos are the one where people are with a group of friends in a few locations that just fit the overall genre of the son.

8. Role

For my upcoming individual project, I will be taking on the multifaceted roles of Director, Cinematographer, Editor, and VFX Effects artist to create a music video that challenges me in all aspects of production. My focus will be on these visible roles, ensuring that every element aligns with my vision. In the directorial role, I aspire to shape the music video according to my creative preferences, selecting environments that resonate with the narrative. As the cinematographer, I will guide the camera movements, framing, and speed, although I may enlist assistance for actual camera operation while I'm directing and potentially acting. Given that the production will largely involve only myself and an assisting adult, I foresee the need for support in camera operation and set production. Equipment such as cameras, green screens, and props are essential, while the budget will be capped at £250, primarily allocated for prop variety to infuse life and uniqueness into the music video. The project encompasses various aspects, including research, practice, evaluation, and the final production stage. I am opting for a solo approach to maintain control over the pace and creative decisions. Inspired by the work of music video director and videographer Cole Bennett, I aim to deliver a project that mirrors the quality of experienced professionals. Roles involved in the project will span Director, Cinematographer, Sound Designer, Editor, and Special Effects artist, all of which I will undertake personally. The project's timeframe will be divided into four phases: Research, Practice, Evaluation, and the Final Project, providing structure and efficiency to the creative process. Though this undertaking poses a significant challenge for a beginner, I am confident in my ability to deliver a final product that reflects a level of expertise beyond that expected of a novice.
