Platforms to use:

What I did will do to promote my music video and reach the right audience will be through social media. Especially platforms with shot video format. These are platforms such as Tik Tok and Instagram. This is where the teasers will go. Short snippets of the video with like a release date at the end of the snippet of the video. Ideally on the artists page as well as all the pages who contributed such as Director and Editors. To really get the biggest amount of audience possible. Platforms such as Reddit could be used to post the snippets and promotions to really boost the audience. Posting on especially the artists fan sub reddit could do a lot since a lot of fans chill there. Another platform that could be used will be Discord. People make servers to appreciate the artists and talk about releases which would a perfect place to promote. It is important to keep the releases and promotion of the music video on trend to really keep the hype going and make the best of it.

The ideal audience for my music video is someone who is into the industry of underground and opium music. Be a fan of clothing and brands like Rick Owens and Chrome Hearts. I want them to listen to artists such as Ken Carson , Destroy Lonely and Carti. Since these are the fan favourites. The age group really depends on the person and their experience in this fanbase. The age I'm going with that will be the perfect for my audience is 21. My music video will perfectly reflect the type of ideal audience through the clothes they were and the music that plays. The clothing style was popularized by a variety of artists in ''Opium'' which is  a American record label and rap collective that was founded in 2019 by American rapper Playboi Carti. The label, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia. As previously mentioned Opium holds four acts all of whom are natives to the city; Playboi Carti himself, rappers Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, and the duo Homixide Gang. This is also what the style is called. Wearing baggy unique and extravagant outfits all black with additions of other colors.

Explore strategies to reach your audience

Some strategies to reach your audience can and will be really affective if done correctly. One really interesting promotion action to get hyped up for a Album that I have seen was this one done by a polish rapper. It all began a year before the album released. He posted a note saying that he will disappear off the internet since he is working on his album to give a 100%.  Throughout as the year passed randomly he commented on a post on Facebook saying that the album is happening and left a riddle for the audience. He commented the letters DDZPPM. Which the viewers had to unravel the meaning to so that they understand the message. The message turned out to be a shorten letter by letter of a Cartoon Network tv show. Although there are other options that people came up with that also make sense to this day its not really known what is meant. This DDZPPM letter my letter riddle could also just have many meanings. Next thing that happened was his Instagram image changed to a character Donnie Darko. Which if you know the film you would know the character in short there was a teen with mental issues and this rabbit came along and started manipulating him. For a long time after this happened it became quiet again for a few months. Out of nowhere he posted a snippet of the album to get the hype going again with the Donnie Darko head animated on top of the snippet. After some time there was a song posted by a different artist who is a feature on the album. This song has a different artist on and the rapper I've been talking about this whole time ''Szpaku''. In the animation for the song we can see the artists and instead of Szpaku the figure of Donnie Darko is shown instead representing him. In the song there were little teasers talking about the rabbit and that if u ask him he will tell u when the album is coming. To shorten everything up the rabbit Donnie Darko was the main character in this representing the rapper on other songs and a lot of links to the film were made through the whole promotion and appeared in a lot of streams and places around Poland as well as him own music videos and others. to really get the hype going. It was something that I have never seen before and a very interesting action from the artist to even start a action like this.

This promotion was a really smart one but takes ages to actually do an follow through with. What I would do to promote my music video is through contacts I have I have a few people I know with large followings. I would tell them to post these short snippets with a date at the end with certain hashtags to gain the audience I need on all platforms mainly Instagram and Tik Tok. This will definitely be my best option since there isn't a lot you can do without having contacts unless you yourself have a large following. You can look for people with a decent following who are into the same stuff and their pages are something that relates to your music video you can always ask them for a little promotion this may cost something but in return you will recognition. To have a large audience you have to work and work creating new project until your account blows up. How my audience will use my music video will be to entertain them self as well maybe get inspiration through the clothing or inspiration from a technical aspect such as cinematography since a lot of these people are into filming too.

Accounts that could possibly show and promote my music video could be YouTube channels who talk about music and the genre. Their main focus is what is happening in the rap world and who is doing what album and reactions to their music videos and songs themselves. Other accounts such as on Instagram. Labels can promote my music video since all they do is focus about upcoming starts and promoting their own music as well as launching festivals where my music video could be promoted and shown to the audience who really cares about this type of stuff. Editors could also be the ones to promote and probably the highest chance that they would promote a music video since they themselves edit them for living. Editors with a smaller following but a large brand recognition are the ones to contact. You can always try the best of the best to promote your stuff but they are probably too busy where as these amazing editors with lower follower count can always help out and the new ones to the brand. Messaging editors is always a good idea since you never know they might respond and really help you out. I reached out to a few editors to help promote my stuff still waiting on responses from most of them but one has actually responded to me.

Danyl XI has edited videos for some of the most famous artists such as BLP kosher and a lot more. Danyl XI has worked with the best Director and Editor Cole Bennett who is my idol is the industry. Watching Danyl XI's work is something that I inspire to be his edits are really something on a different level. The creative mind this guys has is something really inspiring. The thought process of this guys with any music video is something you don't see a lot. Each video has some amazing edits and effects.

I really appreciate the fact he responded to me but I don't know if any one else will. It is quite rare to get a response.

Some places that I would be able to promote my music video other than social media could be events either at school or in public such as film festivals. Creating art for your promotion is easy you need to utilize free AI tools to help you with that. Creating your own cover art will help get attention to your project. Making posters and such and hanging them around schools and towns and organizing some type of a watch party even. Renting out a cinema lets say to have the video played there with free entry to people who come. Renting a screening is not even that much money if you are really passionate about it why not do it. A private screening can be as cheap as £120 and if really successful who knows what will happened after maybe something that will change your life forever. True you will not earn anything from this but as a promotion technique it is meant to boost the knowledge of others about your product and you never know maybe someone really likes the video and gets in touch with you after the premiere and it could all go down hill from there for you. Even getting a screening around the place you live is already achieving something.
