Where I could promote my music video to the audience I want to reach will be through short snippets of the music video on platforms such as Tik Tok and Instagram with the hashtags relevant to my target audience. I could put my music video on YouTube which is a industry standard with a large user base to find my perfect audience and I make sure this will reach the right people through hashtags on the video making sure they link to other music videos in the same genre and visual style. YouTube is good to post full videos of their work such as music videos. Instagram and Tik Tok is to post teasers and such.

I started my proposal beginning with the proposal talking about my inspirations and passion for this upcoming project. Talking about my skills and what I have learned through out the years skill wise. What skills I could improve on and how much of a difference in my music video knowledge there has been since starting this topic last year. I cannot wait to show off all my different ideas and skills in my video. I learned skills from video effects to camera movements and techniques.

On a later date I have started doing my influences and inspiration. Talking about a little of inspirational music video where I like their cinematography and directors work. The effects they use and how they use them. Talking about stuff like costumes and locations.

Moving onto ideas I wrote 3 different ideas. Each different to the other. Is each idea I tried to capture a variety of different feelings and looks.

February
Later I have created a questionnaire and started talking bout how these answers influenced my idea. I talked about artists that fanbase I will match and the type of people im trying to reach. Talking about their music taste and clothing style.

I started my Action Research testing a very little effect which was a this little sequence talking about The Overlay , Colour Grade , and POV shots. Nothing major just a little test sequence. Another little sequence I did was this clone effect. Which will help me in the future when filming. Since I will be using that ''Teleportation'' effect.

Started my analytics and went in depth with 5 different music video talking about everything i like and will interpret into my own project. This is included color grading and effects as well as cinematography.

March
After finishing my 5 analytics of music video relating ot my own music video I turned to Editors and Directors First editor I decided to go with was Moshpxt one of the best editors whos edited videos for artists such as Yeat. The director I went with for my inspiration is Cole Bennet the best in this world director who is funny and so talented. I take so my inspiration from him from editing style to the atmosphere on set. It is always chill and fun to work with Bennet.

Visual Board is what I went onto next and decided to do this to really visualize my idea fully. This helped really put the idea together and make the ends meet.

Action Research started off with Teleportation which was easier than expected. All it took was some masking and putting clips on top of another. No tutorial needed easy to figure out. Later I did this dark space try where nothing was visible other than the person It looked okay but nothing too special to be featured in the video. Next I did the cage and this was really good I loved how this looked since it looked amazing. The location was very limited but the look of it was good. Lastly the attic which is a location I really loved. It looked amazing. Definitely will be using in my music video for possibly more than once scene.
April
Set Design was to help me visualize further what I will be needed to do I started off with this scene i came up when thinking of my idea which is the mask scene but after trying it i decided it is so bad that it will not been in my music video even if somehow made good. It was just boring and not very professional. Next I talked about this scene that I saw in a music video and I really loved. I reached out to the editor of the music video and got a response about how the scene was done. It turns the scene was filmed in a rented out pool with multiple light set ups. Which was opposite of what I thought it was. Personally I thought it was filmed on a green screen and then a in after effects a scene was created with water and lighting with 3d Cameras. I didn't in the end try doing the scene since the budget wasn't there. Next thing I did was talk about the attic scene which was my favourite and I in the end decided to film 3 scenes there all with different camera set ups but it was defiantly the main scene in the music video since it was used the most. Last scene I did talk about in my set design was the train scene I was planning on doing but turned out it was so much more work than I expected and with the timing I wasn't really able to film such complex scene. Although I tried to film it I turned out really bad so I just got rid of it fully to not embarrass myself.

Filming has started in April which was a bit late but since starting filming I went through some issues such as the sets not looking how I imagined. I did about 3 takes on each of my locations to get the right angle and flow. Sometimes when it wasn't looking good I tried different lighting and angles to have a lot of footage that I can cut through when something doesn't look right always have something to come back to. I filmed overall 8 scenes from what 3 of those were in attic since I really felt like that suited the song the most and had to be the main Location for the music video. Although the best scene I think that was filmed for this music video was definitely the car scene. It stands out from the rest of the footage and I think that it really rises the bar for the standard of my project. Filming it wasn't too bad all I had to do was use a special tripod that could attach onto the mirror stable enough so that it doesn't fall off. Went fixing it to the mirror all there was to drive and do gestures to the camera. The shots filmed outside such as the POV shots and performance shots were quite easy to film apart from the problem there were borders and limits to as how much could of been shown in the footage. Since I wanted it to fit the aesthetic I couldn't have stuff such as the shed in the background. I tried to avoid these things as much as possible and it worked. The shots stayed aesthetic and looked good.

As time went on and all the filming has been finished I have moved onto the editing stage which took the longest out of everything so far. I started off carefully watching over my footage and made sure everything, and I mean everything was to perfection. Went over the footage checking for blurriness, artist not in frame fully and stuff that just wasn’t right for the music video that would have lowered the quality of the project if it was placed in the final piece of the edit. Having watched over my footage I decided that what parts I would have wanted gone and what to keep and such which lead me to the synchronising part. This wasn’t hard at all to synchronise with the features that premiere pro allows you to use. First, I did before cut any clips I watched them all once again and chose a clip that would be my backup clip which I can rely on if there were no footage I would like to use. Having everything lined up each clip having it own track one by one I went through each clip and cut the moments that I thought were good and suited the tempo and the overall look that would suit the music for each moment in the song. One by one I cut each clip leaving me with a lot of different smaller clips that would later be combined into one whole sequence with the empty slots being filled out with the one scene that was not cut Having a clear template for my music video I started watching it repeatedly and just thought of places in which I would be able to put custom effects to make the footage better and enhance the look of it. After I decided on the effects I decided to leave it onto the next day so that I don't tire myself out and loose focus.

I decided the day before and the time has come of starting to edit the more advanced sections such as doing all the effects. The footage is really good as its been shot the right way that is why I limited myself with the amount of effects as if there was too much it just wouldn't look good mashing all the effects together would look unprofessional. An editor needs to know his limits. I only used more of simple effects such as night vision and ghost trail as well as rain to add aesthetic to the video. Another thing that I thought would just make the footage so much better and that would add to the aesthetic would be turning the exposure all the way up with Noise as a side effect to put the look together. Each effect I did was through YouTube although by now I no longer will be needing YouTube help I now know everything to a high enough level to figure out and think of effect by myself. My skills have improved over the 2 years that much that I could do it from scratch with the software knowledge that I have. This year I haven't used After Effects as much I did last year. Only effect in that software was the Rain effect and that was without a tutorial.
